8-12 April Mountains to the Sea Mini Symposium – Timaru

Organised by the Timaru Guild this will be an excellent opportunity to see some top class exhibitions, attend classes meet up with quilters from all over New Zealand and of course shop in the merchants mall where Annie’s CQS will be.

A great way to spend some time on a Friday evening making a variety of small projects that will be ideal to give as birthday, Christmas or special gifts. Includes lots of fun a few laughs and refreshments.

3 July (Saturday) – Bali Bag

Using 2 ½” strips of fabric and cotton clothes line you can create this roomy go-anywhere bag. We will also look at other ways this technique can be used for things such as small bowls and placemats.

Annie’s Country Quilt Store will once again join forces with Forget Me Knots to bring you this excellent weekend of great food, great company, great accommodation…..oh..and some great opportunities to stitch and sew uninterrupted with like minded people. Saturday 16 October - Wedge rulers with Margaret Allen

Wedge rulers come in a range of different shapes and sizes and give you countless options for quilts, wallhangings, cushions, tablecloths and much more. Margaret is a very experienced patchworkers with a terrific eye for colour who will share with you her secrets for making both simple and more complex patterns with the wedge ruler so easy.
Time: 9.30 am - 4.00pm
Class Fee: $35.00

Regular weekly classes

Held on Tuesday evenings 7-9.30 pm, and Thursday mornings from 10-12.30 pm. Choose a project or bring along something that you are working on and we will help you to finish it. Beginners are welcome.

Wednesday morning Friendship Group

If you have an interest in handwork, be it patchwork, embroidery, knitting, crochet, cross stitch or whatever, you are welcome to come along. Tea and coffee are provided and it is an excellent way to meet new friends.

Time: 10 am – 12.30 each week.

All classes are held in the classroom behind the shop at Annie’s Country Quilt Store. Class places are allocated on a first come first served basis and confirmed withpayment. Class fees are non refundable, however if you are unable to make it you are welcome to find someone else to fill your place.

If Annie’s CQS cancels the class for any reason, a full refund will be made.
