Hi there. This is just a quick note as I am one sleep away from my holiday and at this point I have so many lists that I am writing notes to remember the lists!

Last week I mentioned about the gorgeous wool charm squares that had arrived in which are proving very popular – this week the bolts have arrrived! These 100% wools are from a different company and are extremely well priced at $46.00 pm and offer a great variety of plaids and checks that can be mixed with the other single colour wool fabrics.
They are a slightly looser weave as they have not been washed and felted as much, however this can simply be rectified by boiling the fabric in a pot and then plunging it into cold water, and then into the dryer if you wish. (All the things your mother told you never to do to a hand knitted cardigan!) They are great as they are for background fabrics, but if you are wanting to cut them up small for wool applique projects you are probably better to go through this shrinking process.

I have also just finished this very classy little bag featuring these foundation pieced squares back and front. I have used French General fabrics, but the bag would look equally good with Japanese fabrics, reproduction or even Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I have a limited number of kits available at this stage (the same as my picture) which are $69.00 and include the pattern, fabric for the bag, lining and pockets, a magnetic closure and domes. There will be more later, but I am just waiting for more of the background fabric to arrive from the US. The pattern is $22.50 and is called ‘One more Bag’.

For those of you who are into the William Morris fabrics we have had some charm squares and jelly rolls from this latest range arrive in as well.
I am expecting more parcels of goodies to arrive in today, so I had better go and see if I can push out the walls of the shop a little more to make room for the new stock.
Take care and happy stitching,
