Heehee, I was allowed out on Sunday with both the cheque book and the credit card, and I can tell you that I made extremely good use of both! Yes, the wholesale gift fair in Auckland beaconed, and while it was an extremely looooooong day (out of bed at 4.15 am in time to catch the early flight from Christchurch) I did find some really cool stuff which I am sure will be gracing the shelves at Annie’s in the coming weeks.
Finding places to put things maybe my next problem, ah but what the heck, the walls of the cottage will just have to bulge out a little further! I will tell you more about the new goodies as they arrive in, but the orders included everything from vintage lace to tea towels, soaps, beautiful jewellery, lots of Christmas goodies, bird houses, cards and much more than I can remember right now. (I will be surprised too!)

This week’s project for you is a neat little pattern for this embroidered door hanger from Kathy Schmitz called Sing. It is available as a pattern for $14.50 or as a kit complete with hand dyed weavers cloth, pelon and the three DMC threads for $27.00. I also enclosed a pack of the rosehip and cinnamon pot pourri ($4.50 per pack) in my door hanger which has a delicious spicy aroma and makes the room smell good as well as looking pretty.
I also have a number of other patterns by Kathy Schmitz on the website if you can spare a few minutes to have a look. www.anniesquilts.co.nz
Well, that’s all from me until next week,
Happy stitching,
Regards
Rachel
