Welcome to Annie's Country Quilt Store

My aim is to inspire people through my own love of patchwork quilting and stitching and to create a shop that is warm, friendly and inviting. Annie's 

Country Quilt Store is based in a 120 year old pioneer cottage on the Main South Road in Tinwald, on the outskirts of Ashburton, a small provincial farming town in New Zealand's South Island.

The cottage lends itself well to the country theme and my love of antiques and collectibles which feature in the shop alongside an excellent range of patchwork fabrics, DMC cotton stitcheries, gifts and patterns sourced from all over the world.

I want my customers to feel welcome to browse, comfortable about asking for help or advice and happy with their purchasing decisions. I also want them to come back and bring their friends!

We are looking forward to being a merchants at the following shows.   It will be a very busy September-October and will be great to see you there!

We are also racing towards another major event on the creative calendar with the National Quilting Symposium coming up at the beginning of October.  Bernina is a major sponsor of this event, supplying all the sewing machines and long arm quilting machines for the classes.  These machines are fully serviced and are all sold off at discounted prices after the event through the dealer network throughout New Zealand, so you all get the savings!
If you are keen to purchase one of these machines, you do need to pre-book it with a deposit for delivery late October.  You can check out the machines that are available on our website or Facebook page  or talk to us in store – there are some good savings to be had!
